The Family Taking A Trip To Smuggler’s Notch In Vermont This Columbus Day Weekend

A year ago, we decided to start a tradition to take one of the weekends in October and travel up to Smuggler's Notch in Vermont and just get away and relax.

No amusement parks. No high speed, rushed, fast paced speeds on any level. That is the perfect speed to deal with. Just enjoying the mountains and tremendous foliage as far as the eye can see.

Last year, we visited the Trapp Family Lodge, that family who the "Sound of Music" is based on. The Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory which was awesome! Free samples after the tour? Thank You! And, of course some quality family time.

This year, we're going to the same place we stayed at, it's absolutely gorgeous with a great view of the mountains. We're going to visit the Cabot Cheese Factory. Mmm, cheese. And my wife and I will drive up to Canada because we will be that close to the border. Make sure you check out the pictures when I get back on Tuesday.
