The Block Island Ferry Is Setting Sail Again

The Block Island Ferry sets sail in Fall River on June 25th.

According to HeraldNews, starting June 25th through September 5th you can get your tickets for a two hour trip that sets sail as early as 8:30 a.m. The ferry will depart Block Island at 5:55pm and will arrive back to Fall River at 8:10 p.m. Located at State Pier, 1 Water Street.  This gives you a full day of fun on Block Island!

The ferry has a speed of 35mph and holds up to 300 people, so the ride over is sure to be relaxing and scenic. Tickets are $30 for adults going each way and $15 each way to Newport. Kids ages 5 to 11 are $15 each way to Block Island and $7 for the trip to Newport. If you are planning on bringing a bicycles, each way to Block Island is $6 and $3 each way to Newport.

There will be parking at State Pier and it is $10 for the whole day. You will be able to pay in cash.

Also, the ferry ride will stop in Newport at Perrotta Park, which is right across the street from the Brick Market Place.
