Here on land all we seem to see these days is snow. But with the freezing cold temperatures across the Southcoast, fisherman have been hit hard with ice as well.

On June 6, 1944, 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified French coastline to fight Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France.

Many war films have been produced with the cooperation of a nation's military forces. The United States Navy has been very cooperative since World War II in providing ships and technical guidance, Top Gun being the most famous example.
