UPDATE: Following Wednesday's arrest, Aaron Hernandez has been released by the New England Patriots.

About a dozen State Police Troopers (and at least one North Attleboro police officer) swarmed the house of Aaron Hernandez this afternoon. They arrived shortly before 2pm. At about 3 o'clock, police brought a pry bar into the house. Then, shortly thereafter, a locksmith was called to the scene...

An arrest warrant has been issued for the arrest of Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.  It's not clear when the arrest will happen, but the warrant has been issued for obstruction of justice in connection with the murder of 27 year old Odin Lloyd.  Hernandez is reportedly not cooperating with the investigation.

Aaron Hernandez just left the Patriots training facility at 12:15 this afternoon after rumors broke that his arrest was imminent in the North Attleboro murder case.  Massachusetts State Police have now called those rumors "untrue".

According to Sports Illustrated, Patriots Tight End Aaron Hernandez has been questioned by police in regards to a homicide case. Hernandez is not initially believed to be a suspect, but he does have a connection to the dead 27 year old man...
