A family favorite at Roger Williams Park Zoo is back this weekend.

Get your kids in their costumes and head to Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence this weekend for some early trick-or-treating inside the zoo.

For the price of a regular admission, this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. -3 p.m. you can check out all the zoo animals and visit with vendors along the way picking up candy and other treats while supplies last.

And if your child wears their costume, they get in for half price.

I think this is one of my favorite Halloween events each year. Maybe because it was the very first Halloween event with did with our very first child.

Sappy mom moment aside, it is great fun and a great way to get extra costume wearing in this holiday.

And even if your child isn't over the top about Halloween, this event is perfect.

It's basically a day at the zoo. And while you are seeing your favorite animals, you can stop and get candy along the trick-or-treating trail. There will also be music, crafts to create, characters in costume on site and animal encounters throughout the zoo.

Definitely a perfect Halloween event for those with younger kids. There is zero scare factor and tons of fun. And what kid doesn't enjoy the zoo?

I've been several years in a row and would definitely advise getting there early.

The zoo opens at 10 a.m. and the event starts then too.

And with Saturday and Sunday looking pretty nice right now, either day is a total win.
