Get ready, Rhode Island, a Nickelodeon star is coming to town and he's ready to party.

Providence will welcome a familiar face April 20 as actor and now DJ Matt Bennett spins tunes at Strand Ballroom. Best known for his role as Robbie Shapiro in the hit show Victorious, Bennett is bringing his unique brand of entertainment to Rhode Island with his show "Party101 with DJ Matt Bennett."

Bennett's journey from Nickelodeon stardom to the DJ booth has been extraordinary. His global tour has him scheduled to perform on some prestigious stages in Belgium, Australia and Paris. First, he's stopping in Providence to share his passion for music with fans old and new.

Doors open at 8 p.m. and the event kicks off at 9.

Bennett's set will cater to all ages.

Tickets for the event are limited and start around $40 with admission granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Los Angeles-born and raised TV star made his mark on Nickelodeon at 18 with his role in Victorious.

Since then, he has appeared in numerous popular shows such as The Big Bang Theory, Sam and Cat, and Grey's Anatomy. Additionally, Bennett has showcased his acting skills in such films such as Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, Bridesmaids, and Stanford Prison Experiment.

With a blend of nostalgia and contemporary beats, Bennett's set sounds like it will be a memorable experience.
