Besides being a comedian, Kevin Hart is well-known for eating clean and enduring a healthy lifestyle.

On Saturday, April 22nd, Hart enjoyed lunch at a popular local lunch spot in Providence called The District at 54 South Street. He had just flown in to prepare for his big show at The Amica Mutual Pavilion (a.k.a. The AMP) with his fellow comedic opening acts. He decided to grab some lunch first and foremost before performing.

I'm pretty sure the staff at The District were just as surprised as Hart and his crew walked through their doors.

"They sat down, had lunch, and watched the game on the TV," owner Jennifer Freitas of Cranston tells Fun 107, "He (Hart) was so nice and asked politely if we could put the volume a little louder."

The first thing I wondered was what an A-Class, Emmy & Grammy nominated comedian ordered for food in a diverse culinary city like Providence.

According to Freitas, Hart was on a "healthy kick" as he states, and order the Jewelry District Salad: a bed of kale, quinoa, chickpeas, roasted red peppers, and craisins, tossed with a house vinaigrette. He also added grilled chicken to his salad as well as a side of baked chicken wings.

Before Hart left, he agreed to autograph one of his branded Grand Coramino tequila bottles as well as a photo with Frietas and her staff. She says she will be attending the show since Hart was nice enough to hook her up with complimentary tickets.

"He was so down to earth and an absolute pleasure," Freitas continued.

Hart's The Reality Check Tour may be a one-night event for Providence, but it's a memory that will last a lifetime for The District, Frietas, and her staff who were lucky enough to meet the humble celebrity.
