If you've bought a Chanel handbag or Louis Vuitton jewelry in Newport recently, they may not be what you think they are.

ABC6 reports that police in Newport have seized over $700,000 in counterfeit merchandise from several stores along America's Cup Avenue and Thames Street.

Hundreds of suspected counterfeit goods from high-end retailers like Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Tory Burch were seized from the stores.

The shops selling the alleged counterfeit merchandise are Be Dazzled on America’s Cup Avenue and Goddard Row, Heaven on Earth on Christie’s Landing and Thames Street, Chez Shell on Thames Street, and two Vintage to Vogue locations on Thames Street.

Everything from jewelry to handbags to purses were seized when the warrants were served, though no arrests have yet been made in the case.

Police are still investigating.
