After an extensive search last night two Fall River men are in the custody of the Massachusetts State Police.

The massive search for the men began yesterday afternoon in Rehoboth after they allegedly sped away from police and caused several accidents on I-195 that backed up traffic for hours.

With the use of helicopters and police dogs, officers were able to find and arrest Robert Dias, 29, and Richard Ferreira, 36, both of Fall River.

According to NBC 10, the suspects tried to cross the highway median after their gold Mercedes got stuck in the traffic they created. The car ended up stuck in the snow, the men fled on foot and the ensuing police search took nearly five hours to find them.

Both men are expected to be arraigned on Thursday.
