The owner of a pole fitness program called the Fun Morning show today after Swansea's Park commissioner compared her business to a gentlemen's club.

According to SouthCoast Today, a request by CAT Studio for pole fusion fitness classes at Swansea’s Memorial Park was denied by a unanimous vote by the Swansea Park Commission.

The park commissioner, Joseph Martin, and a Swansea police sergeant believes that pole fusion classes in the park would not be appropriate for the public.

However, owner of CAT Studio, Jessica Williams, told Fun 107 that pole dancing is a form of gymnastics and a great way to exercise.

Williams said that she will offer pole fusion cardio dance classes on Sundays from 9 to 10 a.m., on July 19 and August 2, at the Railway Café, 938 Lees River Ave., in Somerset.

CAT Studio is located at 544 Milford Plaza on Route 6 in Swansea.
