The driver of the car was rushed to the new trauma center at St. Luke's Hospital that was designated just last week.

According to the fire department, transport time for the patient was reduced by more than 15 minutes, as St. Luke's is more than 10 miles closer to Lakeville than Rhode Island Hospital.

The driver's identity and other details have not been released.
