LAKEVILLE (WBSM) — Lakeville Police have arrested a man in connection to a fatal four-vehicle crash on Main Street Jan. 19.

David Delorenzo, 73, of Lakeville is charged with multiple offenses, including motor vehicle homicide and operating under the influence of liquor.

Just after 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 19, officials responded to the area near Elliot Farm in Lakeville. Upon arrival, officers discovered a four-vehicle crash involving a Hyundai Santa Fe, Toyota Camry, Audi S4 and Chevrolet Silverado.

According to reports, hydraulic tools were needed to remove victims from one vehicle.

A passenger in the Camry, Richard Reed, 75, of Lakeville, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital.

Delorenzo, who was driving the Hyundai, was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton and charged upon his release from the hospital.

Delorenzo was being held on $10,000 cash bail and was to be arraigned Jan. 22 in Wareham District Court.

Lakeville Police are investigating the crash with assistance from the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
