There's a new place to cool down this summer in Buzzard's Bay Park.

The Bourne Recreation Department has announced that their new playground and splashpad at Buzzard's Bay Park is officially opening this Friday, May 25th.

Perfect timing with some super warm weather starting off our Memorial Day Weekend.

They even released video of the splashpad in action!

The new Buzzard's Bay Park splashpad will be open every day from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.

They say the water features are activated by two buttons on opposite corners of the splashpad and once the water is going, it runs on a five-minute cycle.

The water features also stagger when the water is flowing, so different stuff is constantly going off for the five minutes.

The whole playground looks amazing, with climbing features and a pretty cool wavy slide in the splashpad video background. Lots of climbing features and bridges for kids off all ages too.

The Bourne Recreation Department does warn pet owners that dogs (or any animals) are not allowed within the fenced in area of the park...meaning the playground and splashpad.

The address is 90 Main St Buzzards Bay if you've never been before but are excited to check out the area's newest splashpad this summer.
