New Edition Biopic Coming to the BET Network

One of Boston's most popular R&B groups of all time is getting their own miniseries on the BET Network in January.

I remember being is high school when BBD's Poison came out.  I was so proud that these guys were from Boston.  New Edition's Mike Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe, and Ricky Bell told The Boston Globe about it yesterday.  The biopic show the story of how the group became huge and how it all started.

The Globe reports that all six members of New Edition were co-producers of the show that will air in three parts from January 24th-26th.  BBD will release a new album on January 27th.

The actors that played the group members had to do a lot of prepping for the role, like picking up the members mannerisms and accents. According to Bell, the acting was amazing and they picked up dance moves very well.
