New Bedford Remembers The Blizzard of 1978

Maybe you were here and then again maybe you've just heard the stories from your parents.

One Day, back in 1978, it started to snow, and it didn't stop for 3 days. I remember my mother telling me the story when I was a child and I thought a foot of snow was impressive. She would always say.."that ain't nothing, when you have 3 feet or 4 on the ground..that's a big storm."

Never in my life, have I ever seen so much snow. The storms I've been alive for have paled in comparison to the Infamous Blizzard of 1978. Here is a few mementos of those 3 days in 1978 when the entire state was brought to its knees because of snow. Probably never to happen again, unless - well, it probably wont happen.
