The New Bedford Police Union Cycling Team is gearing up for an exciting event that promises fun, camaraderie, and most importantly, support for a noble cause. On April 13, 2024, the department invites the community to join them for a cornhole tournament, with all proceeds going towards the Police Unity Tour.

The Police Unity Tour is an organization with a profound mission - to raise awareness of law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Additionally, it seeks to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum, ensuring that the legacy of these brave men and women lives on.

The tournament offers various ways for individuals to participate. General admission tickets are priced at $25, while those keen on competing can opt for a single player entry at $50 or enter as a two-person team for $100. However, with a maximum of 32 teams allowed to compete, interested parties are encouraged to register promptly. The deadline for registration is Thursday, April 4, at 9 PM. Those intending to participate must submit their shirt size and the full names of their team members to NBPUCornholeTournament@gmail.com.

Upon arrival, participants will receive a complimentary event t-shirt and wristband to mark their involvement. The atmosphere will be alive with music provided by yours truly, "Fun 107’s Gazelle", creating the perfect backdrop for a day of fun competition. Also, food and beverages will be available for purchase on-site.

The tournament will kick off at noon and continue until 5:00 PM at Buzzards Bay Brewing, located at 98 Horseneck Road in Westport.

Prizes await the top performers, with custom Police Unity Tour cornhole boards reserved for the winners, $150 cash for the runner-up, and a $75 gift card for the third-place team. Mark your calendars, gather your team, and join the New Bedford Police Union Cycling Team for a day filled with camaraderie, competition, and meaningful support.
