There's been a lot going on in Marley Dauphin's life. The Normandin Middle School student and her manager appeared on Michael and Maddie this morning to share some exciting news.

Not only has Marley landed the leading role in a new movie, she has landed the title role in a new television show.

Marley's first appearance in a major motion picture happened three years ago when she acted alongside one of the biggest names in Hollywood, Denzel Washington in the movie The Equalizer 2. Her father in the movie was Pedro Pascal, who has had major roles in Game of Thrones, the Netflix drama Narcos, and of course starring as The Mandalorian on Disney+.

She told us about her new film called Nickname. Marley will take on the lead role in the true story, which will be filmed and set in Boston. She'll play a little girl who is very close to her grandmother that really wants a nickname. Her grandmother explains to her that you can't try for a nickname, they just happen. Needless to say, something big happens in the movie that gives Marley's character her nickname.

Marley said she is currently rehearsing her lines while she wraps up the school year at Normandin.

The show is called Marley's World and the storyline revolves around Marley's life. The show would be set here in New Bedford, complete with authentic accents from all of the characters.

Marley also has a single with an anticipated release in August.
