New Bedford Man Charged In Death Of Baby

It is simply a horrible story. The Bristol County D.A.'s office says 23-year-old Ethan Harrison has been charged with reckless endangerment of a child, assault and battery on a child causing substantial bodily injury, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in connection with the death of a 9-month-old girl.

It's reported that the baby was taken by private car to St. Luke's Hospital at about 6 p.m. Thursday. She was identified as Ariel Aluzario, and was then med-flighted to Hasbro Childrens Hospital in Providence for surgery.

The baby was pronounced dead late last night. The D.A.'s oiffice says Harrison is not the father of the child, but lives in the same apartment as the infant's mother. He is set to be arraigned today.
