New Bedford Makes Most Artistic Towns In America List

A list was released of the most artistic towns in all of America and New Bedford was in the top 10.

The website matador network put up a list of the most artistic towns in the US based on the following criteria:

• The scene is still relatively small (No New York or Los Angeles).
• Emerging artists have access to a great quality of life at a low cost.
• There is a strong community of visual artists, musicians, and filmmakers.

New Bedford was picked as the ninth most artistic town in the US. It makes sense to us since New Bedford's art scene is eclectic and extremely popular.  If you've ever been downtown on a Thursday night for AHA nights, you know exactly what I mean!

New Bedford’s AHA! organization helps raise money for local artists’ projects and hosts Downtown Cultural Night every second Thursday of the month, and also organizes the annual Open Studios tour.

Other city's that made the list are;

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Hudson Valley, New York

New Orleans, Louisiana

and Santa Fe, New Mexico
