New Bedford Hurricane Barrier Under Construction [VIDEO]

I have walked on the New Bedford hurricane barrier many times, especially when I was a kid in the 70's It took 4 years to build it and not much of it has changed to date. Although there were rumors about an official walkway being built on top of it. But so far I haven't heard anymore about that.

Check out some hard to find, vintage footage of it actually being built back in 1962.
