Need a fun Halloween arts and craft project for the kids on these rainy October days? Turns out Market Basket has the perfect craft that could also win your child some fantastic prizes.

In case you missed it in your Market Basket weekly flyer, the supermarket chain's Halloween coloring contest 2022 is now underway and kids of all ages can score treats and prizes.

My kids love to color, so when I saw the Market Basket coloring page while scoping out the weekly sales, I knew they would enjoy this contest.

The concept is simple: Have your child, aged 2-10, color the Halloween picture on the back of the flyer's contest page.

Every kid who colors will score a free treat when they turn in their picture. Plus every Market Basket location will choose eight overall winners for $50 Barnes and Noble gift cards.

The contest is broken down into pictures colored by kids ages 2-4, ages 5-7 and ages 8-10. Each age group will have two winners chosen by a panel of judges from the store where you turn in the art. Every picture turned in will be used to decorate the stores.

That means your kids can see their artwork displayed every time you shop. Cool!

If you already stuck your weekly flyer in the recycling bin, no worries. The stores have copies you can pick up at the customer service desk and that's exactly where you can turn them back in for the voting.

All coloring just needs to be completed by Wednesday, Oct. 26, 5 p.m., so all winners can be announced on Friday, Oct. 28, at noon.

So, grab those crayons, get creative and learn more at your local Market Basket all month.

Market Basket loves the holidays. This annual event is coming back soon too

The crews at Market Basket locations across New England got into the holiday spirit big time this year, decking out store customer service desks to the nines. From full-on log cabins to crazy Whoville decor, the stores that made the company's top 10 list did not disappoint. Here are the best-decorated help desks, according to Market Basket Facebook voters.
