Man Shoots Off Flare Gun In Northborough Wal-Mart

Police are searching for a man who shot off a flare gun in a Northborough Wal-Mart Sunday and ran out before police arrived.

According to Metro West Daily News, just before 6 p.m. Sunday, a man opened a package containing the flare gun and fired it. No one was hurt, but it set the floor on fire for a brief moment and damaged the floor.

Employees asked the man why he shot the flare, and he told them he “wanted to see if it worked."

If found, he could face charges for destruction of property. Police are taking a look at surveillance video from the store to see if he can be identified. Normally you would fire off a flare gun when you get lost. I guess that Wal-Mart was pretty big.
