Buzzard's Bay Coalition and New Bedford Parks Recreation & Beaches Department will have you knee deep in fun this Sunday

The Buzzard's Bay Coalition and New Bedford Parks Recreation & Ceaches Department is hosting an event this Sunday, June 18th at Fort Taber Park. The event aims to teach the basics of local quahogging. Learn how to harvest quahogs, the tools you need and the locations you can go.

Rakes, peck baskets and waders will be provided for those who come, though if you do have the materials feel free to bring your own. This is a catch-and-release event unless you have a shellfish permit for the city of New Bedford.

The event is free to the public.
