Johnny Depp is in big trouble with the Australian government. After illegally bringing his two dogs into the country the actor could face up to 10 years in prison.

Depp, who is currently filming 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales', brought his two Yorkshire terriers into the country on his private jet, but failed to declare them. Australian officials have deemed the case as “very serious” and say the actor has broke the country's quarantine laws.

On May 25, an Australian senate committee declared that if the case goes to court, Depp could go to jail for 10 years and pay a hefty fine. The pilot of the private jet could also face jail time with his role in the situation.

The whole situation started when Depp took the pups to a local groomer and posted photos on social media prompting authorities to warn him to send the dogs back to the United States or they could be put down.

As for the two dogs, Pistol and Boo, they are back in California with Depp’s wife Amber Heard.

Poor Johnny, we hope this situation works out for him (and his pups)!
