April 13th won't just be opening day for the Boston Red Sox, it will also be re-opening day for Jerry Remy's Sports Bar and Grille outside of Fenway.

Though the Fall River Jerry Remy's was never affected, on March 3rd the Boston location was abruptly closed and both Remy and his primary partner, John O’Rourke, were completely silent about what happened.

The pair now say Boston-based Cronin Group is buying the restaurant and plan to have it re-opened in time for the Red Sox home opener against the Washington Nationals.

The Boston Herald spoke with founder John Cronin about the purchase and he says the group sees "big potential there for a nice restaurant.”

He also says there will be some changes to the Jerry Remy's in Boston and that they are,

going to do a quick makeover, implement a whole new made-from-scratch menu and upgrade the food and beverage offerings.”

They also have a lot of hiring to do with some 200 positions available.

So if you head up to Fenway sometime this season, know that Jerry Remy's is still going to be one of the many places you can grab a bite and a beer before or after the game.
