I-95 in Providence had to be shut down Tuesday night due to a large protest about the fatal shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.

Thousands around the country are extremely upset over the release of Darren Wilson who will face no charges for shooting 18 year old Michael Brown. Many people all over the country have taken to protesting the outcome and it looks like it isn't much different here in New England. What started off as a small protest at a local high school turned into over a hundred protesters running straight onto 95, almost getting hit by passing cars.

They sat in the middle of the interstate, chanting and holding signs in honor of Brown. They blocked traffic on both sides of 95, forcing hospitals to shut down right off the exits. State police made five arrests that night but no one was injured within the 45 minutes of the protest.
