Garage Foreman #5023943 - Supervises, trains and directs garage personnel in repairs, maintenance and fabrication of equipment throughout City departments. Supervises the inspection and/or troubleshooting of vehicles to approve them for compliance with Registry of Motor Vehicle standards.
Enforces existing procedures and policies, and develops new garage methods and procedures as authorized. Ensures adherence to applicable City, State and Federal health and safety rules and regulations. Maintains garage and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
Assists the Superintendent with researching equipment before purchase to ensure the City has received the best long-term value when purchases are made. Keeps up with any changes or improvements that may develop.

Possession of a valid Massachusetts driver's license with good driving record, including CDL Class B endorsement, vehicle inspection license, hydraulic license and/or ability to obtain these licenses within six months from date of hire. Mandatory CORI (Criminal Offender Record Investigation) background check per City Council Ordinance effective May 14, 2013.

Preschool Director #4983800 - Shinning Tides Preschool, located at the scenic Mattapoisett YMCA, is looking for a qualified Preschool Director to join our team.
Under the direct supervision of the Branch Executive Director and the Executive Director of Education, the Shinning Tides Preschool Director shall perform all administrative and supervisory duties for our preschool program for ages 2.9 to kindergarten. The preschool director is responsible for implementing and maintaining all licensing and accreditation while remaining responsive to participants needs.
Day to day operations include licensing programs, supervising, training and evaluating staff along with scheduling/curriculum development. Candidates must be EEC Preschool Director certified and have strong administrative skills.
This is a part-time position.
Hours of operation are between 8am to 2:30pm, from September to June

Maintenance Manager #5038695 - Our Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for preventative maintenance and repair to equipment and building facilities. Operates steam boiler and auxiliary equipment and maintains all power laundry, lighting, heating, building and grounds maintenance.
Primary job responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Operates auxiliary equipment to produce steam for heating laundry equipment.
- Inspects, adjust, and repairs all equipment: packs valves; cuts, threads and installs pipes; laces transmission belts; replaces worn or broken parts.
- Oils and repairs all laundry equipment and machinery.
- Skilled in Electrical Repairs (equipment trouble shooting), plumbing and carpentry to building and equipment.
- Assists in removing, relocating, and installing machines and equipment.
- Position handles regular maintenance of lint traps, shaker screen barrels, oil levels, grease fittings and water levels.
- Must remain current on equipment and repair procedures
- Requisitions materials and supplies.
- Expedite building and machine repairs in progress to avoid production delays.
- Recommend the replacement of obsolete or damaged equipment when estimates of repair costs are excessive.
- Adheres to the PMP Schedule which reduces the severity and frequency of equipment malfunctions and optimizes production run times.
- Contract with and supervise all outside contractors when the scope of the repair work is outside the expertise of the department.
- Interface with regulatory and third party agencies including OSHA, EPA, & Fire Department.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.
- Conducts inspections for preventive maintenance, insuring OSHA standards and company policies are complied with, managing timely responses to service requests and make-readies.
- Manage expenses within the budget guidelines.
- Operate forklift & other yard equipment as required.
- Perform work in accordance with company's standards for housekeeping & safety.

Laborers #4973998 - Large commercial landscape company currently searching for several Seasonal Laborers and shovelers. On call shoveling. Able to work long hours during snow storms including nights, weekends, and holidays during snow events. Classification Counselor II (Commonwealth of Massachusetts) J45174 - The Rehabilitation Counselor C position oversees the daily operations of the supported employment programs and the state operated redemption center. This position is responsible for the completion of Individual Service Plans (ISP) assessments and goal projections related to work objectives. The selected candidate must also possess the skills to evaluate individual’s clinical needs, develop plans of approach, and create support plans as necessary. The incumbent must maintain detailed records for timely data reporting, billing, incident reporting, and attendance. The incumbent will conduct Department of Labor assessments for the workforce and will be responsible to ensure adequate staffing ratios are provided to effectively supervise program participants. This position will provide daily supervision of the Vocational staff including performance monitoring, direct supervision and evaluation. The work schedule will require availability on Saturday, on a rotating schedule to support the work site’s functioning. MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE: At least four years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in social work, social casework, vocational counseling, employment counseling, rehabilitation counseling, or educational counseling.
