The History of the John Mace Smith House

Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, the John Mace Smith House is a small Greek Revival house that has been around since 1844.

Not much is known about Smith, himself, but according to the National Register, he was associated with the American Print Works in 1859.

The land was sold to Smith for $1,200 back in 1843, and over 180 years later, that same plot of land is worth millions.

A Commercial Real Estate Gem

The current owner, Paul Sahady of Sahady Associates PC, calls the property a “city landmark that has been lovingly restored and well maintained."

The first floor holds six offices, a large conference room, administrative and support staff offices, and two half-baths. The second floor offers space for additional offices or residential use with one full bath and one-half bath.

A parking lot conveniently holds up to twenty vehicles, and the striking view of Battleship Cove is the cherry on top.

Can you imagine your business thriving in the four walls of a historic home?
