The SouthCoast has been buzzing with "feel good" stories lately and the latest comes from a Fall River family.

Meet Angelo August, a remarkable 10-year-old with a heart as big as his dreams. Angelo's recent act of kindness towards the local animal shelter, Forever Paws, not only highlights his compassion but also showcases his remarkable talent and determination.

It all started with his passion for art. With aspirations to become an artist, Angelo decided to leverage his skills for a greater cause. Guided by empathy and a desire to make a difference, he embarked on a mission to give back to his community in a meaningful way. His mother, Victoria August, recounts how Angelo took the initiative to sell his artwork and use the proceeds to support the furry residents of Forever Paws.

"My 10-year-old used 100% of the money, $210 in total, to purchase items off of the Forever Paws Animal Shelters wish list, and donate it all to them."

This act of selflessness exemplifies Angelo's commitment to helping those in need and his reasoning behind it is just as impressive and humble.

"You should never do anything in life expecting something in return, even acknowledgment," he expressed.

Despite his young age, Angelo's wisdom surpasses his years, inspiring not only his family but also the community around him.

Beyond his wants to give back to his local animal shelter, Angelo is a well-rounded young man with many talents and interests. He's an honor student, excelling academically when he's not creating his artwork, as well as an accomplished baseball player for Maplewood, showcasing his athleticism and dedication on the field. In addition to sports, Angelo is musically inclined, playing the saxophone, teaching himself the acoustic guitar, and even joining the dance team.

Angelo's compassion for others makes him a truly inspiring figure in Fall River and across the SouthCoast. As he continues to grow and make his mark on the world, may his story reminds us of the power of kindness and the impact that one individual can have. He will forever be known as a shining example of what it means to truly make a difference in the lives of others- especially when it comes to animals.
