Dog Walks 50 Miles Is Reunited With Family

A dog from Saugus traveled 50 miles away from his family and was reunited two days later.

A beagle named Silver ran away from his family, the Ventuouris, when they went for a drive and stopped to let the little pup stretch his legs.

According to MyFoxBoston.com, the 9-month old beagle saw the car door open and ran straight into the woods. The family spent hours searching for the puppy with no luck.

Silver ran 50 miles on Route 3 and made it safely to Billerica when he was picked up by a stranger and brought to animal control. The animal control officer shared a picture of Silver on Facebook and his family immediately recognized her dog.

The ecstatic family was reunited with Silver a few hours later.
