Clerk Pulls Sword On Robber At New Bedford Convenience Store

When a man walked into the Lucky 7 convenience store on County Street in New Bedford Tuesday with a knife and demanded cash, he probably wasn't expecting the reaction from the clerk on duty.

The 24-year-old pulled out a sword he keeps behind the counter. The robber fled the store without taking anything. Police say the would-be robber is a white male about 40 years old, is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 250 pounds. He was wearing a green coat, jeans and white and blue sneakers.
