Cardi B has just announced that she will not join Bruno Mars on tour this fall after all, and I for one support her decision.

Though I know a ton of fans are going to be disappointed with the news of no Cardi B on the next leg of Bruno Mars' 24K Magic World Tour, I think the news is great.

As you probably already know, Cardi B recently gave birth to her first child a little girl named Kulture Kiari. Well she has decided that she is not as ready as she thought she'd be to leave her new little bundle of joy to hit the road, both physically and mentally.

As the rapper posted to her Instagram today,

I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically. I also thought that I’d be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing

She added that she's not only feeling unready physically for the demands of the road, but she's really not ready to up and leave her daughter since doctors have told her it isn't healthy to take a newborn on the road.

I think all of this is amazing.

Good for her putting her child first, as well as her own recovery.

I know not every woman can make that kind of choice after having a child, especially financially.

And though I know Cardi B's financial situation is not typical, I think her mindset should be.

Being a mom is tough in so many ways. Asking a woman to go back to work after 6 weeks is crazy to me. It's just so not enough time.

I mean, puppies can't legally be bought until they are at least 8 weeks old, but woman have to head right back to work after having their kids?

I also love how supportive Bruno Mars is being to his almost tourmate. He too took to Instagram today writing,

Most important thing is you and your family’s health. I know the fans will understand. You are absolutely doing the right thing.

I agree Bruno and I hope most fans do too.
