Buster Wants To Be Your Frisbee Catching Companion
Today's pet of the week is Buster from C. A. R. E. Center for Animal Rescue and Education, in New Bedford, Mass. Buster is a one-year-old Doberman Pinscher and German Shepherd Dog Mix. He is a great frisbee catcher, loves attention, and as soon as you pet him, he will lean right into you.
Buster is friendly with other dogs, and with people. Buster came from a bad situation where he was in a crate from hours on end, and most often when he was not in the crate, he was tied to a truck body with no food or water. He has a scar that runs across his nose and under his chin from the previous "owner" putting a can on his snout to keep him from barking.
He is learning to walk on a leash, and he is improving daily. He is housebroken, and does feel comfortable in a crate. He would love a fenced-in yard as he has a ton of energy and long legs to run.
Adoption fee depends on the animal, but a kitten is $125, a cat is $75 - 100, a dog is $200 - 300. When you adopt an animal , it will have all it's shots including it rabid shots, and it will be spaded/ neutered. If you adopt two pets, you will receive a price cut on your adoption.
Donations are different. They are tax deductible, and you will receive a letter in the mail when you give a donation. You can donate money at any amount, and you can donate food, cat litter, and other items needed for sheltered animals. This organization is a non profit organization.
