If you live on the Cape, you'll be seeing more of Big Papi after he retires from the Red Sox.

According to the Boston Herald, Ortiz said he’s also looking forward to doing a lot of things in the summer that he never was able to do because of baseball...especially hitting the beaches on the Cape!

Big Papi says his family goes to the Cape every year, but he get's left behind because of work.

“The family part — we get to spend a lot of time away with the kids and they are at an age where you need to monitor things in a better way and I’m looking forward to it,” he said. “I have a couple of businesses I’d like to be more involved with. I’ve been playing baseball on someone else’s schedule for a long time. It gets to be time to start doing your own thing.”

Don't worry...the future Red Sox Hall of Famer says he considers New England his second home and doesn't have any plans to leave after he retires.

Can you imagine seeing Big Papi spreading out his Red Sox towel on Coast Guard Beach next summer?  That's a lot of beach real estate!
