Woody Harrelson Spotted Living His Best Life at Rhode Island Bowling Alley

Actor Woody Harrelson blew off some steam over the weekend at Lang’s Bowlarama in Cranston and posed for pictures alongside fellow bowlers.

True Harrelson fans know that the actor is no stranger to the lanes. He starred as Roy Munson in the 1996 comedy Kingpin, directed by Rhode Island natives Bobby and Peter Farrelly.

But what is he doing back in Rhode Island? It turns out he’s not the only celebrity spending time in the Ocean State for the next few months.

“Is Roy Munson from Kingpin making a comeback?” asked the popular page ‘What’s Going On in Rhode Island.’ The outlet shared a candid photo of a lively Harrelson enjoying a beer while enjoying some bowling.

Is he fist-pumping? Is he saying hello to someone? Either way, Woody seems to be enjoying Rhode Island.

A New Production Begins in Providence

Harrelson may love bowling, but the real reason he is in town is for a new film he's shooting in Rhode Island alongside Jamie Lee Curtis.

Harrelson and Curtis have both been the center of dozens of Blockbuster hits, and they will be joined by Emma Mackey, who was recently one of the Barbies in the summertime hit Barbie, and Ayo Edebiri, the Boston native who made history recently for being the first Black woman to win an Emmy for Oustanding Game Show Host.

IMDb says the upcoming film Ella McCay will follow an "idealistic young politician who juggles familial issues and a challenging work life while preparing to take over the job of her mentor, the state’s longtime incumbent governor."

Last week, Curtis spoke to an attentive crowd at the State House as she, her costars, and local officials announced the project would happen in the Ocean State.

Filming will begin Monday.

In other words, keep your eyes peeled for some A-Listers roaming the streets of Providence.
