A Polish woman was pronounced dead by her doctor on November 6th, but just eleven hours later she woke up in the morgue.

It's hard to believe that in 2014 a medical mistake like this can be made, but in the doctor's defense the woman was 91-years-old.

Identified in the media as Wieslawa C., the doctor was called to her patient's home in Ostrow Lubelski, Poland after family members noticed she wasn't breathing. The doctor said she checked for a pulse on the forearm and neck arteries, listened for a heartbeat and the sound of breathing and checked the pupils for reaction to light, but found none.

So she declared her patient dead and two hours later Janina Kolkiewicz was taken to the morgue.

But that's not where her story ends!

Just before midnight of the same day, an undertaker was bringing another body into that same morgue when they noticed Janina's body bag moving. After a terrifying moment or two I'm sure, the undertaker opened the bag and Janina was very much alive, complaining that she was cold and asking for some tea. (Crazy!)

And perhaps the craziest part, she was totally fine, was brought right home and is now said to be in very good health.

The biggest problem with the whole mistaken death is of course the legal paperwork. Lawyers are now trying to get Janina's death certificate voided so that she can continue to get her pension and health benefits.
