Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! Another dog, another chance to find the perfect fur-ever home.

Nothing beats the love of an animal. There are hundreds of animals on the SouthCoast waiting to be loved by the perfect families, and to local shelters who watch over them, we get to share their stories.

Every week, we shine a light on one lucky animal, and this week, we head to Fall River where a tiny pup with big character is waiting for a home.

Meet Scooby. Scooby is a 3-year-old chihuahua weighing about 8 pounds and is politely asking for a family to love him.

"Through no fault of his own, Scooby has been returned to the shelter," said Forever Paws Animals in Fall River. "He's a very confused, nervous little man right now and will need some help building up his confidence and reaching his full potential."

Scooby doesn't understand why he is back at the shelter and that has led him to be barky and on guard. But with a little patience and a lot of love, he will come out of his shell and be your best friend.

Scooby is okay with cats, selective with dogs, and is best with children over 12 years old.

"Scooby just needs someone that will put the effort in to help him be the dog that we know he can be," said Forever Paws.

If SouthCoast Dogs Had a Dating App, It Would Look Something Like This

August 26 is International Dog Day, and it got me thinking. What if there was a way for dogs to connect with other dogs in the area to make new friends? Or maybe even find love? Twenty-six dogs living on the SouthCoast sent me their profile picture and bio. Let's see the eligible pups.
