WAREHAM (WBSM) — A Wareham woman has been charged with operating under the influence after a rollover crash into a cranberry bog early this morning.

Just after midnight on November 23, Wareham Police, Fire and EMS responded to a motor vehicle crash on Maple Springs Road where the vehicle had overturned and was submerged in water in a cranberry bog.

Officers arrived to find a good Samaritan helping the lone occupant out of the overturned vehicle.

Police said the Wareham Fire Department then arrived and searched the vehicle and water and secured any potential hazards.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Alisha McGough, 31, of Wareham. She is charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

McGough will be arraigned in Wareham District Court on Friday, November 24.
