Wareham Police Make Drug Bust

Wareham Police make arrest and take alleged dealer off the street

According to the Wareham Police facebook page ,On Monday, October 19, 2015 at approximately 3:00 am, Wareham Police Department detectives and patrol officers executed a search warrant at 22 Tomahawk Drive regarding the possession and distribution of illegal drugs.

Upon entry into the residence, detectives and officers encountered the target of the search warrant, 20 year old Codey Murphy, who was subdued after a brief struggle and denied the presence of any illegal drugs.

During a search of Murphy’s bedroom, detectives discovered approximately 16 grams of heroin, several corner cut plastic baggies, 2 digital scales, and a small amount of cash.

Codey Murphy was placed under arrest at the scene and was scheduled to be arraigned today at Wareham District Court on the charge of Possession of a Class A Substance With Intent to Distribute.
