Wareham Man Dies on the Job

Scott J. Frey, a 37-year-old man from Wareham, suffered severe head trauma at Hi-Way Safety Systems in Rockland on Monday and was killed.

According to the Plymouth County District Attorney's office, Frey fell between a loading dock and tractor trailer that was in the middle of backing up.

Investigators reported that Frey was using hand signals to guide the driver and lost his footing on the loading dock and fell between the bumper of the truck and the dock. Police found Frey lying on the pavement, bleeding from his head trauma.

Life-saving procedures were performed on Frey before he was transported to South Shore Hospital. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
