The tragic story of the hit-and-run that killed 58-year-old Michael Dutra in Middleboro last month has received a lot of media attention, and Dutra's daughters urged the driver of the jeep that hit him to come forward.  There has now been an arrest in the case.

18-year-old Eric Megna of Middleboro has been charged with leaving the scene of that fatal crash.  The Plymouth County DA's Office says Megna hit Dutra while on his way home to Middleboro, but then fled to the family's vacation home in New Hampshire instead.  They say that Megna told police that the damage to his Jeep grand Cherokee happened when he hit a deer on I-93.

Michael Dutra was riding his bike on Wood Street in Middleboro when he was hit on October 11th.   Megna will be arraigned today in Wareham District Court.
