Two young Taylor Swift's fans decided to make 1,989 paper cranes for Taylor Swift's mom, who is battling cancer.

Last December, two sisters started their quest for Taylor Swift tickets. Sam and Jo Brady heard of the famous Japanese legend that states: if you fold 1,000 paper cranes you will be granted a wish. The girls, ages 11 and 8, decided to take it a step further and make 1,989 in honor of Swift's album and tour "1989".

However, all that changed once Swift announced that her mother was diagnosed with cancer.  According to Yahoo, Laurie Brady, the girls mother said she was looking for the exact address to send the cranes to when the girls decided it should go to someone else.

"You know, mom, we think it would be better for us to send these to Taylor Swift’s mom to help her beat cancer."

The paper cranes took the girls about 30 minutes each day for four months.  All 1,989 cranes are being stored in the Brady's basement until the family can find the direct address.

Both sisters are dancers and have been handing out flyers at school recitals and dance competitions. They also made a YouTube video to spread the word.

If Sam and Jo do get the tickets, their 19-year-old brother has been their designated chaperone.

I absolutely love this story!  These girls are so sweet and their heart is in the right place!  I remember this Japanese legend from when I was a little kid!  My younger brother learned how to do Origami when we were kids and that's when I remember hearing that legend.  He was so good at making all of those cranes with Origami paper and lots of other things too!  They were beautiful and it was fun to watch him make them.  Actually, I kind of forgot all about the origami birds he made as a kid until I read this story, so it was nice to be able to bring back that childhood memory!
