Drivers on Massachusetts roadways could be arrested tonight after Governor Baker declares a state of emergency and statewide travel bans.

The Governor is urging people to get off the roadways and get home as soon as possible tonight and has signed an executive order banning drivers from all state roadways starting at midnight tonight.

With the heaviest snow set to fall in the overnight hours, the travel ban will remain in effect until further notice in order for plow crews to get the roads clear and emergency personnel to get where they need to be.

In short, get home and stay home because you could be arrested for driving after midnight.

Bridges are also expected to be closed after midnight, including the Braga Bridge, so make sure you are where you want to be for the duration of this storm before midnight.
