The parents of a small child who was found wandering by himself in a playground have come forward.

A little boy was found alone and barefoot over the weekend, riding a red tricycle in a park according to WCVB 5.

Boston police went to Ryan Playground on River Street after somebody called 911 to report a small child all by himself on Saturday. Thankfully, the child was found ok with nothing wrong with him.  Police say the child is around two to three years old and approximately two feet tall.

The parents did not come forward and contact police until 20 hours, almost a full day, after he was found.  The boy will remain with Child and Family Services and the parents have not been charge at this time.
