Another stranded boat found its way to the Cape Cod coast.

The Cape Cod National Seashore shared a photo of the stranded vessel near Newcomb Hollow Beach in Wellfleet, and it was met with hundreds of comments as locals attempted to get to the bottom of how this lost boat found its way to the shore.

“A stranded boat just hanging out on the sand like it’s on vacation,” Cape Cod National Seashore posted. The organization shared that no one was hurt, and no fuel was spilled.

“A tugboat will pull it back to deeper water at the next high tide."

But then what? Where are the owners? How did the boat beach itself on the Cape? Facebook users had many unanswered questions.

The United States Coast Guard cleared up some of those questions and responded to the fishing vessel off the Cape.

The vessel, named Miss Megan, had three people on board when it “ran aground” on Friday. The vessel notified the Coast Guard and crewmembers spent around 15 hours getting it back into the ocean.

Multiple Coast Guard crews worked with local partners and stakeholders to manage the response and vessel recovery.

They continued to monitor the situation until the boat refloated at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and was towed to New Bedford.

It was an odd sight on Friday afternoon for any Cape Codders strolling the shore, but luckily, Miss Megan is back where it belongs.
