Massachusetts State Police photographer Sgt. Sean Murphy has been placed on restricted duty.  The trooper leaked photos of the bloodied Boston marathon bombing suspect taken during his capture to Boston Magazine last week.

Murphy said he wanted to counter a glamorized image of former UMass Dartmouth student Dzhokhar Tsamaev on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.  But today he was placed on desk duty, where he would have no contact wit the public until a further investigation is completed.    Murphy has already served a one-day, unpaid suspension.

Tsarnaev was captured hiding in a boat in the Boston suburb of Watertown four days after the April 15 bombings.
