This weekend's snowstorm could be significant, with many Southcoast cities and towns already getting the plows prepared.

The temperatures are going to drop this weekend and local meteorologists are keeping their eye on the storm that is coming at us from the South.

According to weathermen, though accumulations amounts are still undetermined, we should see plowable snow overnight Sunday into Monday and there is a potential of power outages across the area as well.

Snowfall is supposed to begin on Sunday around noon, which could affect the New Bedford half marathon.

Significant accumulation isn't supposed to happen until overnight Sunday into Monday morning with early numbers showing 6 inches of snow is possible...maybe more.

We could see rain to start before things turn all snow as well, but meteorologists say to expect high winds as well overnight Sunday, so some people could even lose power.

We'll keep you updated on the upcoming snow as more information becomes available.
