Should Janet Jackson Be Mad About the Last Two Halftime Shows?

I'm almost certain somewhere in America Janet Jackson is NOT happy.

Janet was pretty vilified along with Justin Timberlake back in 2004 after Justin ripped off part of Janet's top, leaving her exposed during the halftime show. It was a pretty huge deal. I remember sitting in my basement with a few friends and all of us kind of looking at each other like, "Did that just happen?"

It was a huge controversy (possibly bigger than Spygate, Deflategate and all the other NFL gates). It led to the NFL going to much tamer Super Bowl performances and essentially banning JT and Janet from coming back to perform again. Well, at least that's what we thought until last year.

Last year's Super Bowl featured one half of that controversial show in Justin Timberlake. The halftime show, in my opinion, was trash, but that's not the point. JT was welcomed back with open arms and not a mention of Janet.

Now we come to this year. Maroon 5 performed as part of yet another trash halftime show. In the middle of the awfulness (which didn't include Spongebob's "Sweet Sweet Victory"), lead singer Adam Levine ripped off his shirt to reveal not one but both of his man nipples. In all his shirtless tattooed glory, he danced around topless.

Now obviously Janet topless and Adam Levine topless are two totally different things, but it feels a little off if you ask me.

I'm sure it stings Janet even a little more that both of those halftimes shows were pure garbage.
