The iconic diner on Shawmut Ave will be donated to the Bristol Country House Of Correction and will me moved on Friday.

Sherrif Tom Hodgson and owner Phil Paleologos made the announcment today. The diner will be used to train inmates in the restaurant business. The sherrif said the diner could be used to serve food to the public in the future.

Phil has said the move will be bittersweet once the historic diner is moved from its present location."Many memories are deeply rooted on that property" said Phil.

I"m sure lots will be on hand to see it raised from the property and carried off, but we are all hopefull that the diner will live forever at its new home.
