Be ready for rerouting and road closures in Somerset this Saturday.

The Herald News says Somerset Police want the public to know that there will be parking restructions and road closures on Saturday due to the Musictown Festival and Parade.

The parade starts at Luther Avenue at the Somerset-Berkley Regional High School at 12:30 p.m. with parking restrictions begining at 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

There will be NO PARKING from 9am-2pm on the following streets:

• Prospect Street from Clifford Holland Road to Buffinton Street (on both sides)

• Wordell Road (north side)

• Williamson Drive (south side)

• Luther Ave between Prospect and Rt. 138 (both sides)

• Clifford Holland Road (both sides)

Bus parking only will be allowed on the following streets:
• Blue Raider Way

• Gifford Ave (Utility Pole side)

• Rt. 138 County Street between Luther Avenue and Gifford Avenue (both sides)

• Hathaway Road (both sides )

• Florida Avenue (both sides )

Starting just after12pm, Route 138 (County Street) will be closed between Riverside Avenue and South Street. During that closure, northbound traffic on Route 138 will be detoured north on Riverside Avenue. Northbound traffic on Route 138 will be detoured east onto South Street and south onto Riverside Avenue. There will be no access to County Street from side streets along the parade route however, there will be limited access to businesses along the route by using side streets.
